Meet the Curator

Michael Benedetti is the creator and author of The Museum of Human Panic.

After more than two decades producing live entertainment, Michael turned his attention to a different kind of spectacle: the things people do when nobody knows what the hell is happening.

Volume I: The Pandemic gives those moments a permanent home, pairing elaborate illustrations with dry commentary and the solemn presentation of a museum that takes its ridiculous collection very seriously.

The collection begins with the pandemic. Planned volumes expand into other areas where humanity continues to distinguish itself:

• Volume I: The Pandemic — Available now
• Volume II: Airports
• Volume III: The Internet
• Volume IV: Weddings
• Volume V: Parenting
• Volume VI: The Workplace

There is, regrettably, no shortage of material.

And because every respectable museum needs a gift shop, The Museum of Human Panic offers a growing collection of things to wear, sip from, and carry your emotional baggage in. Souvenirs of the human experience. Coping skills sold separately.

Based in Palm Springs, California, Michael shares his home with James and Dean, two Goldendoodles whose museum responsibilities include security, morale, and investigating anything that might be edible.
